The current database includes:

  • 2016 – Lower Chamber races across 40 states, including 3500+ websites
  • 2018 – Upper and Lower Chamber races with non-major party candidates, including 6500+ Websites
  • 2019 – Upper and Lower Chamber races with non-major party candidates, including 400+ Websites
  • 2020 – Upper and Lower Chamber races with non-major party candidates, including 6000+ Websites
  • 2021 – Upper and Lower Chamber races with non-major party candidates, including 400+ Websites
  • 2022 – Upper and Lower Chamber races with non-major party candidates including primary candidates, including 9000+ Websites

 
Data processing is ongoing for all years but final products will include:

  • Candidate level statement pages by year.
  • State level issue reviews, including all statements on a particular issue from within the state.
  • Measures of candidate and state-level issue salience based on character counts.
  • Ideology scoring based on text analysis of issue positions.
  • Cross-policy framing analysis, to identify recurrent policy themes across states.
  • A public archive of candidate websites produced in partnership with Archive-It.
